IEF Launching New Student Research Initiative with 10 HT Scholars
Austin, Texas — April 2026
The Innovation & Education Foundation is officially launching a new research initiative powered by 10 outstanding Huston‑Tillotson University students, marking an exciting step toward expanding student‑led innovation in Mathematical Sciences, data science, healthcare, and AI applications.
The selected students will explore real‑world challenges through hands‑on research, technical training, and collaborative problem‑solving. Their projects will focus on areas such as assistive technologies, health analytics, climate data, and ethical AI—continuing the Foundation’s mission to empower young people through meaningful, impact‑driven learning.
“This initiative gives our students the platform to transform ideas into solutions that matter,” said Dr. Hussain. “We are proud to support their growth as researchers, innovators, and global leaders.”
The program will run throughout the academic year 2026-2027, with students presenting their findings at upcoming MAA MathFest 2027, Texas Undergraduate MATH Conference 2027 and community events.
